In light of recent events, we strongly advise against the flushing of ice cubes down toilets in hopes of a snow day. In no way is it detrimental to a plumbing system but it is however extremely unkind to the parents in the community. Thank you for the attention to this matter.

Stay safe everyone and remember to keep your thermostats up. Alternative heat sources like pellet stoves and heat pumps are great but baseboard piping tends to freeze up if its not moving.

So during these very cold spells, make sure the piping is running occasionally throughout the extremely low temperatures.
