Had a great trip to Bend, Oregon touring the JELD-WEN Windows & Doors factory. It was great to see that human hands touch each and every product that leaves their facility. Fly fishing on the Deschutes River was an added bonus, that's a sport I could get used to!
Thanks to Brent Reid at Associated Building Supply for the trip, it was a very informative and relaxing time.

I've been doing this a long time, have never seen a beam this deep. 22 layers of 2x6 in the Glue Lam !

Simpson moment frame installed for a large garage door opening. I'd rather have the local guys build the frame but it worked out just as well.
