Talk about perfect timing! A couple of weeks ago, I was taking a training class with DuroMax, a great California-based company, to learn how I could better serve my customers with their backup power solutions.

I was lucky enough to win their door prize, a new generator! In an amazing show of customer service, they contacted me afterward to let me know the prize model wasn't CA-compliant, so they generously upgraded me to their brand-new and just-released XP1500HXT+ Tri-Fuel EFI generator.

Literally TWO hours after it was delivered to my house, my dad called. A garbage truck had taken out the power lines to his home, and he asked (not knowing anything about my win) if I had a generator he could borrow.

So, I loaded it up, and with my 4-year-old "supervisor" directing the operation from the truck bed, we got it set up and restored power for my parents while they waited for PG&E. It was a powerful reminder of why we do what we do. Being prepared for an unexpected outage isn't just a luxury; it's about providing safety and peace of mind for the people you care about most.
