Corbino Guitars

Co-featured in the 'Fledgling Luthier Showcase' of Guitarmaker Magazine's Issue #73, Fall 2010. www.guitarmaker.org/ So - what the heck is "Corbino Guitars"? I wanted to start building a 'retirement career' over the next ten to fifteen years and decided that guitar building sounded like something I'd really enjoy. My plan is to aquire skills and tools over time so when I retire from the corporate fenzy, I can still work, and still have something I enjoy. I figured that I'd start out with the basics - what does every guitar have? Well, it is assembled, and it is finished. So, that's what I started with. The plan is to start out with kits, then start building and designing my own -- focusing on bodies, then on necks, then on advanced inlay and embellishments, etc..... I've actually already designed a prototype with my daughter ( see the "Roxy" photo album ), and will continue doing this as I have time, but I'll try to stick to the original plan as much as possible.
