HERE COME THE LOADERS!
Snow Country Contracting is proud to support Heavy Equipment Story Time at the Ironwood Carnegie Library this Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
We’re bringing a full‑size loader and a smaller loader for kids to see up close—tires taller than they are, big buckets built to move a lot of dirt, and all the details they usually only see in books and toys.
The machines will be parked for safe, ground‑level viewing so parents and caregivers can walk around them, check out the size of the buckets and tires, and snap photos with the kids.
Kiddos of all ages and their big people are welcome to stop by and take a look.

Snow Country Contracting on site with ECI at COPPER PEAK in Ironwood, MI — hauling water for the rebuild of the only ski flying hill in the Western Hemisphere. Once complete, this tower will once again host world-class athletes soaring over the Upper Peninsula.

Snow Country Contracting has a full summer lined up, including Davis-Bacon (prevailing wage projects). We’re looking for hard-working people who take pride in their work and want to be part of a crew that gets the job done right.
We’re hiring:
✅ Equipment Operators — dozers, loaders, excavators (Topcon GPS/grading experience a plus)
✅ Truck Drivers — Class A preferred, Class B is good too
✅ General Laborers — site work, drainage, grading support
What we offer:
• Davis-Bacon prevailing wages on qualifying jobs — top pay for skilled work
• A busy summer with steady hours
• Quality equipment and a crew that has your back

✅ Project Update – City of Ironwood Water Treatment Plant
Great progress at the City of Ironwood Water Treatment Plant over the last two weeks!
We got an early start this season and the SCC team took full advantage — successfully backfilling the water tank and installing the new 16” water valves and pipes.

The crew did an outstanding job and we’re proud of the quality work they’re delivering. This early momentum is going to help us accomplish even more this construction season!
