Fresh off the bench!

This end grain cutting board features cherry, walnut, maple, and bloodwood accents with a smooth hand finished surface built for everyday use. Finished with walrus cutting board oil and a Shadow and Grain Woodworks exclusive all natural beeswax coating. Durable, functional, and made to stand out on the countertop.

Cherry naturally darkens and becomes richer with age, walnut has been historically prized for high end furniture and rifle stocks, maple is one of the hardest domestic hardwoods used in cutting boards, and bloodwood gets its deep red color naturally no stain needed.

Crafted something a little different with this one.

This charcuterie board was built from joined black walnut for the perfect width, then hand shaped and detailed with a unique textured edge. Each side was individually dimpled with a burr bit, carefully torched for depth and character, and finished with Rubio Monocoat to enhance the natural beauty of the wood while providing lasting protection. I truly love the rustic aspect of this board.

Your achievements deserve more than a drawer.

This batch of challenge coin holders is crafted from solid black walnut, put together with Domino joinery to create a clean, strong, visually striking angled display that highlights your accomplishments, and finished with Rubio Monocoat.

Each holder is fully customizable, from the number of rows and overall length, to laser-engraved personalization on the front face. The names shown on these boards have been intentionally obscured for privacy.

Check it out! A custom black walnut desk I built for the sales department at our local gym, Proximal 50.

Designed and built in collaboration with Gross Welding, whose squat-rack-leg steel base and plasma-cut sign brought the entire piece together. Strong, clean, and built to last, just like the space it lives in.

Proof that simplicity can be elegant. These black walnut end-grain boards turned out really nice! Rich grain, clean lines, and just enough detail to let the wood do the talking.

I always say I don’t want to be known as the “cutting board guy.” I’d much rather be known for tables and furniture… but when boards come out looking like this, I don’t mind giving them a little spotlight.

And for anyone keeping score at home, that’s two cutting board posts and one table post so far. Balance is coming… eventually.

A sturdy end-grain cutting board crafted as a groomsman gift — made from Black Walnut, Red Oak, and Sugar Maple. Finished with Walrus Oil and an all-natural beeswax blend for lasting protection and a rich sheen. And yes, you can absolutely cut on it!

Fun fact: certain hardwoods like Walnut, Oak, and Maple are naturally anti-microbial. Their high tannin content and tight grain structure make it difficult for moisture and bacteria to thrive. End-grain cutting boards aren’t just beautiful — they’re stronger, gentler on knives, and last longer than plastic ones.
