It was such a labor of love starting this project and we can’t wait to see the final result after the furniture is all moved in!

We started by emptying the room completely, taking out and screws or nails off the walls, patching them up, then sanding it all down.

BEFORE you go ahead and start taping and painting, take a wet sponge or microfiber towel and wipe down the walls!!!

The color turned out way brighter than I expected it so it only felt right to use it as the base for a fun mural. We chose forest because we want it to grow with our son without feeling like a baby room if he is still in that room as a teenager.

We recently helped Ayah and Omar baby-proof their fireplace by building a custom base using 2x4 framing and plywood, then upholstering it with foam, batting, and fabric for a soft, impact-safe finish.

Now their fireplace is both safe for their little one and beautifully styled to match their home. The best part? They were able to decorate the finished surface for a clean, cohesive look — without sacrificing safety.
