This is so fun! Learned theses skills with the Illinois Arborist Association 8 years ago when I took courses with Norm!

A little positive rigging, anchoring my pulley higher than my tie off point on the spar, making a face cut towards the pulley, using the mini skid as my mechanical advantage, and executing a back cut so that it safely “fells” into the tree!

I love what I do!! 😎

I may be a “small” operation but we have all the tools, skills, and grit to make it happen quicker than you think! 😉

This was one lead off of a black walnut that was laying on a structure today.

Implementing safety, knowledge, skill, and proficiency to get this thing on the ground! 💥👊

The tree was so heavy I setup a 3:1 using the mini skid to pull because I wanted to make sure it came down! 😂😬😂

This was one hell of a sycamore removal! 🌳 High voltage Power lines all around, structure to the west, bushes to the south. It was nice though that we had a perfect amount of room to work all around. The tree was completely dead and every branch that hit the ground shattered like it was mulched. 🤦‍♂️😂

The tree was over 75’ tall. The trunk was about 36-40” in diameter. This tree literally maxed out all my equipment! 😂

We had to put logs by the sidewalk so as to not crush it and you can see the spar crushed that log into the ground about 6 inches! 😬

Had to cut the spar into 4 separate sections just so I could pick it up with the mini skid.

2 full days though and we brought it down! 💪😎
