Jh Construction and Interior Architecture We are a Construction and Interior Design business based in Bloomington, IL. He decided to get his degree in Interior Architecture to create his own business.

We provide an in depth approach of working with our clients to achieve a simple, cohesive yet functional space. Owner Jason Hudson has had more than twenty years of experience in the construction industry. In his hometown of Bloomington IL he has designed and built commercial spaces such as DollFace Desserts and has worked with residential clients on kitchen and bathroom renovations. Services that

he offers are: Drafting/planning, 3D Rendering, Drywall/Finishing, plaster, custom millwork, flooring, spatial planning and can work on any renovations a client is seeking services for.

One of our custom doors. Made from 1/4 “ red oak plywood that was ripped down to different panel widths and stained with a natural finish. It was then completed with a pivot hinge to hide the hardware so as to showcase the door and deep custom opening.

6.02.2026… Recent residential full kitchen/dining project.

The client wanted a simple modern yet rustic charm. After looking over the space me the client and I came up with an over all design plan
To move forward.

The Project started by taking everything down to studs along with replacing floor joists and subfloor. Some of the materials used were lime plaster, local red oak, engineered wood cabinets,vinyl planks and textured walls throughout.

Tadelakt is a lime plaster that is troweled on in several coats and smoothed to a glass like finish then lastly coated with a special soap and wax, which gives it a waterproofing coat.
Tadelakt is also naturally mold resistant making it a great choice for a bathroom or backsplash.

Jh Construction & Interior Architecture is well versed in using this product in both kitchen backsplashes and showers. The process is worth the result.

Below is one of the showers done in a natural colored Tadelakt along with a large format tile for the flooring.

If Tadelakt isn’t your thing we can also do tile.
