She will have her final show this week 😭😭 She is pictured here with YodelLady Lopey Lou. Her first Alpine goat. Lopey had the first set of twins born on out farm on Leap day of 2020. Cecilia took Lopey's first born to Booneville fair when she was ready to show and the last night of the fair she jumped her pen and broke her leg. We rushed her from the fair to Charlie's and after a week of trying to get it to heal we sadly had to put her down. The fair seemed different after that because that memory was haunting. Cecilia will be taking Yodellady Lopey Lou's 2023 doe again this year for her last goat show. It's going to be a hard one for all of us ❤️🍀

Tonight was Premium Auction night and Home Ec Awards for my babies! Cecilia was very fortunate to make auction with her sweet blue laced wyandotte Peachy. So VERY grateful for Whitaker Farms for supporting us again this year and through the years!! It really is something special to have folks in the community who care about you and watch you grow year after year!!

Home Economics awards!! It's been a minute since I put my plants in! I'm always so proud when all three of us make the Grand Champion display!! Showing isn't just livestock. They put a lot of time and effort into crafting, sewing, crochet, arts, canning, beekeeping, photography and gardening on top of the billion other things they do! Creativity is and always will be a special gift in my house and being able to express ourselves is something I hope they will continue to pass down through generations!!
