Designed by a team led by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill with Shepley Bulfinch, the UT Dell Medical Center is part of the first phase of the UT Dell Campus for Advanced Research. The new campus will house a range of facilities for clinical care, research, and education supporting UT Austin’s broader vision for advancing healthcare and research across the region. At a recent AIA Utah (American Institute of Architects) engagement, our Lens team worked alongside board members to establish a forward-looking vision. The team identified patterns, an understanding of what was already working, and explored where the organization had the greatest potential for impact. The result was a practical roadmap that makes the path ahead achievable.

July marks Disability Pride Month, commemorating the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act. To recognize the month, our Bulfinches co-led an immersive ADA workshop at the Mayo Clinic Campus in Scottsdale.

Presented by AIA Phoenix Metro, Women in Architecture and the Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging Committee, the hands-on workshop challenged architects and designers to think beyond code compliance and experience accessibility from the perspective of the people they design for.
