🐾 Tuesday Tip with River! 🐾

River shared a simple tip that could help keep your AC from working overtime!

💡 Keep your thermostat out of direct sunlight!

If sunlight is shining directly on your thermostat, it can make the thermostat think your home is warmer than it actually is.
That can cause your AC to run longer than necessary, wasting energy and putting extra wear on your system.

Take a quick look at your thermostat throughout the day. If the sun hits it directly, it may be worth having its location checked.

And of course, this week’s tip is River approved! 🐶🐾 River belongs to Bryan, owner of Rench’s Cooling & Heating.

🐾 Tuesday Tip from Dixie🐾

💡 Don’t forget about your air filter!

Changing your air filter every 1–3 months is one of the easiest things you can do to help keep your AC running smoothly -Especially here in Florida! ☀️❄️

A dirty or clogged filter can restrict airflow, causing your system to work harder than it needs to. That can mean higher energy bills, less efficient cooling, and unnecessary wear and tear on your equipment.

Have pets, allergies, or a busy household? You may want to check your filter even more often!

A clean filter = better airflow, a happier AC, and a more comfortable home. 🙌

💡 This Week’s Tip: Keep at least 2 feet of clearance around your outdoor AC unit.

Your outdoor unit needs room to breathe! Shrubs, mulch, weeds, toys, and other debris can restrict airflow, forcing your system to work harder than it should. Keeping at least 2 feet of clearance around your unit helps improve efficiency, supports proper airflow, and can even extend the life of your system.

A few minutes of yard maintenance today can help prevent bigger problems tomorrow!

Tuesday Tip from Bea! 🐾

Meet Bea, who belongs to Devin in our duct cleaning division! This week, she’s reminding everyone to keep an eye on the humidity inside your home.

If your home feels sticky or muggy even though the AC is running, your system may not be removing humidity as it should. Excess indoor humidity can make your home feel warmer, reduce comfort, and could be a sign your system needs a little attention.

If you’ve noticed:
💧 A sticky feeling indoors
💧 Your AC running longer than usual
💧 Musty odors or excess moisture

…it may be time to have your system checked.

Our team is here to help keep your home cool, comfortable, and dry all summer long!

Meet Dixie, a beautiful German Shorthaired Pointer who belongs to Robert, one of the owners of Rench’s Cooling & Heating! This week, she’s helping us share a simple tip that can make a difference in your home’s comfort.

💡 Keep your interior doors open!

Leaving your interior doors open helps air circulate more evenly throughout your home. Better airflow means more consistent temperatures from room to room and can help your HVAC system operate more efficiently.

It’s a small habit that can make a big difference—especially during these hot Florida summers!

Here’s this week’s HVAC tip:

🌡️ Turning up your thermostat to 85° while you’re away can actually make your AC work harder when you get home.

Why? Because your home doesn’t just heat up- it also fills with humidity. When you return and lower the thermostat, your AC has to cool the air and remove all that extra moisture, which means it runs longer and works harder.

💡 A better strategy: Raise your thermostat just a few degrees while you’re away. Your home will stay more comfortable, humidity will stay under control, and your system won’t have to play catch-up.

💡 Keep those vents open!

It may seem like closing vents in unused rooms will save money, but it can actually do the opposite. Closing vents increases pressure inside your ductwork, making your HVAC system work harder and reducing its efficiency. Keeping all your vents open helps maintain proper airflow and keeps your system running the way it was designed.

If you have questions about your home’s comfort or want to make sure your system is running at its best, we’re always here to help.

🐾 Tuesday Tip with Maci! ☀️

Meet Maci, A lovable Lab/Pit mix! She belongs to our Service Technician, Michael, and she’s helping us share simple tips to keep your home comfortable all summer long.

This week’s tips:

☀️ Keep your blinds closed during the hottest part of the day.
Blocking direct sunlight helps keep your home cooler, allowing your AC to work more efficiently during the Florida heat.

🌀 Ceiling fans cool people—not rooms.
Enjoy the breeze while you’re in the room, but remember to turn fans off when you leave to save electricity.

Sometimes the smallest habits can make a big difference in your comfort and your energy bill!

At Rench’s Cooling & Heating, we’re always here to help keep your family cool and comfortable.
