The 3rd generation of Powells Concrete
Matthew Jr. and Daniel are the 2 sons of owner Matthew Sr. & Grandson's to the late William (Bill/Billy) Powell.

And just like their daddy and papa, they have a love for concrete. It doesn't matter what kind of job we are doing they always want to get in and help! From slinging sledgehammers, setting forms and all the way to pouring the Concrete these boys will give it their all.

*so if you see our boys on your jobsite just know they are proud of their name and want to keep the family business going. 🥰

2022 was a rough year for us.
At the end of 2021 we lost
the man who started it all
William (Bill/Billy) Powell
He started this company back in 1985
By himself with a small single cab truck
Hardly no money to his name
And turned it into a dynasty.
Fast forward to 2002 his only son
Matthew Powell Sr started working full time
And always dreamed of owning it one day.
With that being said we feel that
2023 is going to be an amazing year!


I would like to introduce to everyone
The Owner and Operator of
Powells Concrete Finishing Inc.
Matthew Powell Sr.

Matthew was born and raised in New Bern NC. He has helped his dad serve the craven county/eastern nc area for the last 20+ years
Matthew is the one & only son of William.
He is a devoted son, husband and father.
He is also devoted to this company.
His main goal is to always have the customers best interest. He will always give the best advice to his knowledge of what needs to be done on any job.
