At Barefoot Painting Service we aim to help you eliminate boring and outdated interior spaces and channel your inner design star!

We understand that when it comes to selecting a paint contractor the choices are seemingly endless, and it can be difficult to find a quality craftsman that you can trust. The two main factors in the selection process (time and budget) do not necessarily go hand-in-hand. We pride ourselves on our competitive estimates, and stand behind our ability to work within your budget and timeframe. Let us be your home improvement expert.

This home was a flip. And whoever was the contractor, yikes, man.

We aim to help our clients get through all types of situations. This client was seeking to refinance a VA loan but the inspector cited areas that needed to be fixed. Like collapsing textured porch ceiling, peeling window box trim paint, and holes in interior walls caused by a pet. We completely removed all of the peeling paint and textured ceiling, patched, sanded, primed and repainted. For the interior we patched and color matched to the surrounding wall color. Job done!

You know when you fall in love with a home but can’t stand just one thing about it? This client in Fairfax Station hated the purple/pink color of their owner’s suite. We toned it down with Agreeable Gray from

How many times have you attempted to start a project and then days, weeks, and eventually years fly by? The next thing you know your kids are off to college and you still have that unfinished project. We completed one of those projects just last month. Call us for your next NEXT project! 703.951.3397.

With colder weather in the forecast is this the last deck of the season? We completed the clear sealing of this refurbished deck just yesterday!

Did you know that late season decks are all the rage? This one hasn’t been stained since it was built over 10 years ago! During pressure washing it was obvious that it hadn’t been stained properly. The new wood wasn’t allowed to age so during the washing all of the old stain came up in little peels. The only solution was to sand the entire deck surface before applying two coats of Benjamin Moore solid wood stain to the entire deck. Due to some wood rot it’ll need replacement boards next spring, but overall we think it looks pretty great!

Did you know that we also do touchup painting? Back in July we were contracted out by a client whose parents had passed away and he was preparing to sell the long time family home. His parents were the original owners since the 1960s! Recognizing that it was going to be a lot of work he decided to make only small updates and then sell as-is. We paint matched to the existing color and coated several walls and ceilings. One ceiling had a water leak that we drywall patched. They don’t all have to be big jobs! Here’s an interior in Fairfax from a few weeks ago. We paint matched to the existing and cleaned up the trim and doors.

The days are getting shorter and the mornings and evenings are cooler. That means that the exterior pressure washing and painting/staining season is winding down. Here’s a big one that we completed this same time last year. Call now to book your free estimate: 793.951.3397!

Old plaster in poorly ventilated bathrooms can cause extensive “cracking” to the surface of the walls/ceilings. We worked with One Stop Handy, LLC on this project in Parkfairfax. They patched the surfaces and we came back in to repaint the entire bathroom. A great referral from Woods Property Management.
