A load of gravel by itself won't fix a rough mountain road.

Before fresh gravel ever goes down, those ruts, potholes, and washouts have to be cut out and reshaped. If you just spread new gravel over the top, those same low spots will be right back after the next good rain.

That's where our Hydra Bucket really shines. It lets us cut out and resurface ruts and washboard areas, while rebuilding the road the right way—one pass at a time.

Good morning!

We hope everyone is safe and made it through yesterday's storms with little to no damage.

We'll be working throughout Madison and Yancey Counties today and tomorrow. We know we’ve been a little quiet on social media lately — but for good reason. We’ve been busy helping finish up this beautiful new home build and wrapping up one of our favorite projects to date.

This project started with a major challenge: the entire bank ran down and underneath the porch area, leaving very little usable space behind the house and a lot of water.

The homeowner wanted a full 4’ setback behind the porch with a functional walkway and additional parking area.

To make that happen, we:
• Excavated and reshaped the entire hillside
• Installed drainage to help control water runoff behind the porch
• Built an 85’ long boulder retaining wall
• Added a new parking area for easier access and more usable space
• Installed a 4’ pea gravel walkway with flagstone pavers behind the porch
• Finished everything off with grading and cleanup to blend naturally into the property

Projects like this are why we love what we do — turning difficult terrain into something functional, clean, and built to last.

We appreciate everybody’s patience while we’ve been tied up on this one, and we’re excited to get back to posting more of our work soon.

Small driveway widening project in the books for this mountain property! 🏔️
The goal? Eliminate a steep, sharp turn that was giving the customer a hard time.

Don’t let the pics fool you—this driveway is steep. So steep the dump truck couldn’t make it up… every bit of gravel had to be hauled in by skid steer 💪

✔️ 40' of culvert installed
✔️ 20 tons of ABC road bond hauled and spread

Now the customer can access their lower driveway without spinning tires or tearing it up every time.
