Buckeye Chapter of the GPAA The Buckeye Chapter of the Gold Prospectors Association of America was formed in 1996. We welcome you to join us at one of our chapter meetings.

The Buckeye Chapter of the Gold Prospectors Association of America was founded in 1996 to provide a place for GPAA members to meet in Ohio. As an educational non profit organization, the BCGPAA travels to area trade shows and hosts various youth groups to provide guidance in gold prospecting. The organization is self supporting by the members and individuals who attend our meetings and functions.

Show up with your $1 bills, a beverage, and join us as we have an evening of LCR at the main pavilion. $3 buy in each round. 10 players to a table. We will set up however many tables we need. Hey gang. The entire area is under a severe thunderstorm watch until later this evening. Storms are starting to fire in NW Ohio, and will move SE as the evening progresses. Some of these storms, if they train long enough, will produce some very heavy rainfall. Keep an eye on the radar for the area just E of Galion (Blooming Grove), through the camp. That is the entire drainage basin for the Clearfork River. Heavy rainfall can bring the river up very quickly. The river is notorious for washing away equipment as well. Better be safe than sorry and do not leave equipment unatended.

Join us on Saturday, September 5 at 5:00PM at the main pavilion for our Ohio Gold Rush Days Auction. Please not that the auction has been moved up BEFORE the raffles on Saturday. This was done to allow time to get the movie night setup following the raffles. Cash, Card and Check (with ID) are accepted. Any items donated to the auction can be dropped off at the Buckeye Chapter booth all day. Registration for bid numbers will begin at 4:30pm. Hope to see you there!

Just a heads up. Miller will be coming through today to service all of the Porta pots, and will not be there tomorrow. However, they will be back Saturday morning to service the pots again. If you need to get your RV pumped, you will need to call them today at the information we provided earlier to set up that appointment. They cannot do cash or card on delivery on demand. It all has to be pre-scheduled

(Shawn Posting). Wanted to take a minute and thank everyone who has gone above and beyond to make Gold Rush what it is this year. Thanks to all the officers (Rob, Ryan, John, Aaron, Dan, Greg, Jenny, Sue, Bunny, Randy (in no particular order)) for stepping up and running with your duties. Thanks to everyone who stepped up to help mow, w**d eat, and trim. Thanks to Allie for bringing sone very awesome postcards to this years event. You guys are going to love them! This is the first year we have NOT had to use the dreaded action list. For that I am VERY appreciative. For anyone I missed, PLEASE post here so we can applaud you. For me, I truly appreciate it. My job does not allow me to be there for a lot of onsite stuff. Add in my kids activities (they always come first) and this week becomes very stressful. Thank you for allowing me to be able to find a balance. It is truly appreciated.

Now....let's do this! Look forward to seeing everyone this weekend...our Family Reunion if you will. Until then....heavy pans!
