Job description:

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Service HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a variety of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems for residential and/or commercial clients. This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent customer service skills, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, and refrigeration units.

Perform routine maintenance and seasonal tune-ups on HVAC systems to ensure optimal operation.

Diagnose mechanical and electrical components of systems using technical tools and equipment.

Provide professional, courteous, and timely service to clients while explaining technical issues and solutions.

Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including service reports and parts used.

Ensure compliance with all safety standards, building codes, and environmental regulations.

Keep service vehicle clean, organized, and properly stocked with tools and parts.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required; technical school or HVAC certification preferred.

2+ years of experience in HVAC service or a related field.
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and electrical components.

Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs., climb ladders, and work in confined spaces or extreme temperatures.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with commercial systems and rooftop units.
Knowledge of smart thermostats and modern control systems.
