I have been crazy busy repairing sprinkler systems, testing backflows, and outfitting this new trailer. Already, this trailer has saved me time and allowed me to serve my clients better. I have everything I need to be more efficient while on-site, and it is extremely satisfying to have everything organized! Don't mind the Katy Perry 😁
Uncommon Project - Unfortunate Homeowner
The contractor that installed the system at this property had a 1.5" supply line (plenty of water to work with) leading to the valve boxes. From there, each zone was installed with 1" pipe. This would usually be fine, except they installed too many sprinklers in each zone; in this case, the number of sprinklers installed should have been installed with 1.25" pipe. Now that the client sees the issues the sprinkler system is causing, I am using my knowledge to make changes that will help the sprinkler system work much better. Some changes are pressure-regulated sprinklers, lower GPM nozzles, and changing the type of sprinklers in some zones. However, unfortunately, it still isn't ideal without replacing piping, which would cost thousands of dollars. It is imperative to vet your sprinkler system contractor so you don't run into this same problem. If you have this problem, there are likely a few ways to renovate the system to mitigate issues caused by design flaws.
