We have several installer positions to expand into. Experience on ladders is required. Gutter experience is not required, but preferred. Starting pay is based on work experience, increased pay after you learn the job. This is a permanent, year-round position. Work is Monday-Friday, and Saturdays are optional for overtime. Average week in the Summer ranges from 40-50 hours. Opportunities to grow into a leadership position is always possible.

We've already had a ton of calls related to ice taking down gutters and facia wood. I spoke with someone as late as 11:00 p.m. last night as it happened to him.

As a small family business in Caledonia, we do little advertising and rely on word of mouth from our community and customers. If this happens to any of your family or friends, please pass along our info and we will get an estimator over to begin the repair process.

As the ice thaws, dams may become loose from the shingles on your roof. That weight may pull your gutters down. We are available to replace facia wood, trim, and gutters if this unfortunately happens. This is more than likely covered by insurance. Call your agent and see what your policy covers.

Check your walls and ceilings, and feel your carpets upstairs to see if they are wet. Have the ice removed to give the water a place to drain besides through your roof to avoid major interior damage and mold problems.

When the weather warms up, ice dams become the most problematic as existing snow and ice melts. The dams are the last thing to melt off of your roof.

Ice and water shield does not 100% protect you from getting water inside your house from an ice dam.

If you don't see water coming in, it doesn't mean it's not coming in. Keep an eye on your ceiling and walls, and feel the carpet around where the ice dams are for the most obvious signs of a problem.

Even if you installed a new roof yesterday, ice dams don't care. Roofs are meant to shed water, not hold it. That's why swimming pools are not made of shingles.

Throwing calcium chloride on your roof will only create more water problems if it has nowhere to drain.

If you have an attic with a crawl space, look at the plywood underneath your shingles to see if there's any moisture leaking through.

Water will take the path of least resistance. You may not have problems in the same area there is an ice dam.
