My Story
During my high school years, I worked at a local greenhouse, which encouraged my interest for landscaping. When I went to college, I found my passion was in Landscape Design. I took every design course I could, plus art classes, and horticultural courses too. In addition, I gained real-world experience working for the campus florist, greenhouses, and Agricultural offices. I graduated from MU in 2012 with a B.S. in Horticultural Science & Design. During college I also did an internship as a landscape designer in Jefferson City, MO.
Immediately after college, I was hired as professional designer for Longfellow’s Garden Center, a mid-Missouri garden center. Here, I gained experience organizing and scheduling the work crew, creating all the designs and estimates, and working with sub-contractors.
Now, years later, I am a self-employed Landscape Designer. I am looking forward to this adventure, and all the people I will meet in the process! I love my career and that every day and every job is different. I feel truly blessed to have found my passion so early in life and that every day I still look forward to more.
