There's always a first for everything. I recently completed an order featuring an Old World Italian tile design. The client conceived the design (a first) and personally drove from Maryland to pickup it up (another first). He was absolutely thrilled and loved the result. Unfortunately, I did not capture close-up images, which would have showcased the depth of variations in the tiles (No worries). Stay tuned though more photos to come in the future once it's in its new home!

Now that the client has received and beyond pleased with the final product, I am delighted to share. Not a floorcloth this time but a fun project! The design parameters consisted of Navy blue, yellow, and Victorian elements, resulting in a small, double-sided artistic sign.

Signed / Sealed & Delivered ‼️

Been a while since my last post. This by far has to be one of the most intricate floorcloths I've ever accomplished for a client. They were extremely thrilled and expressed that I surpassed their envision. I never thought I would use toothpicks to aid in detail painting 🎨.

Roughly 2 weeks ago, I had the pleasure of delivering a floorcloth to it's permanent home. The client this time had one request...'Water in Motion'. I believe I captured it, based upon her reaction. Decided to go with a sandy border with a few accents, such as a scalloped shell & clam shell, Scotch Bonnet (seashell of NC) and a fiddler crab 🦀. I've seen alot of artist recently working with resin and creating fluid art. Let me tell you I learned alot during the numerous layers of this process and enjoyed every minute. Once the first topcoat was applied the floorcloth just shined and has so much depth. It's always a joy to work with a new customer as well as continue to push myself & strengthen my skills.

Took a small road trip to Greenville, NC for delivery and installation of a recently completed custom 8'6" x 9'6" French Colonial style dining room table floorcloth. Small history lesson, back in the 1800's, it could've been referred to as a crumb cloth with it's placement under the dinner table. I worked with an interior designer on this project and I'm very pleased the homeowners loved it.

So haven't been to the restaurant to work in over a month!..So what do you do when your quarantined?...Me, I work away on several custom floorcloth orders and when the weather is beautiful, why not take work outside and turn up the radio! I'm feeling very thankful and hope everyone is staying safe. Oh yeah, ready for these to come out of their stretchers soon...so the fun colorful painting can begin.
