Precision Tile Works, a well-established commercial tile contractor, is seeking an experienced Office Administrator / Bookkeeper to support our growing construction operations. This is a full-time, in-house role responsible for daily office administration, accounting and bookkeeping, and payroll coordination.

Key responsibilities include:

• Office administration & project documentation
• Bookkeeping (AP/AR) and job cost tracking
• Certified payroll, weekly payroll processing
• AIA billings and monthly reporting
• Coordination with vendors, GCs, and ownership

The ideal candidate:

• Experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO)/ MS Office
• Strong bookkeeping/accounting background (construction preferred)
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, professional communicator
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines

Compensation & Benefits:

💰 $40,000–$55,000+/year

Precision Tile Works, Inc, a 20-year-old South Central PA based commercial ceramic tile contractor is seeking to hire an experienced Commercial Flooring Estimator to join their rapidly growing team. This position will include all aspects of project bidding. The estimator is responsible for procuring new projects to bid, project site investigation, vendor and subcontractor solicitation, estimating labor and equipment costs and creating bid proposals. In this role the estimator will analyze plans, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare bid estimates for projects as well as assist with the coordination and management of all phases of the construction process including cost projections and anticipated revenue. Will train the right individual.

Responsibilities:

• Bid sourcing / download and print plans and specs/ respond to bid invites

• Maintain internal plan storage/ bid calendar/ track addenda-changes

• Research and Read Scope Documents/Blueprints and analyze specifications to determine bid package

• Utilize Digital Takeoff Software to assist with estimate preparation (Planswift / MS Excel)

• Assemble quantity takeoffs of tile and related materials to fulfill all requirements of the bid package

• Draft and submit project specific Requests for Information for scope clarification

• Attend walk throughs or meet with GC’s/ Customers onsite to review conditions- when required

• Study flooring products, installation methods, and correct application

• Work in conjunction with PM while preparing bids seeking approval of rates/ targeted revenue

• Prepare bid package and submit bids to participating GC’s

• Create highly detailed Shop Drawings for installers; flooring installation methods, transition details, and project specific information

• Correspond with GC’s estimating departments post-bid to track/ document results

• Assist with preparing submittals and transitioning to management team

• Maintain effective communication with PM and Operations Manager post-contract

Qualifications and Other Skills and Abilities:

• Must be familiar with reading and understanding Architectural blueprints

• Knowledge of the flooring industry preferred: Ceramic Tile in particular

• Mechanical aptitude with ability to complete basic mathematical calculations

• Candidates must be reliable and professional with a strong work ethic

• Must have a professional demeanor and be knowledgeable of proper email etiquette

• Proven record in negotiation, decision making, conflict resolution, problem solving

• Must have exceptional organizational skills and be able to multi-task

• Ability to effectively use a computer and required software- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

• Ability to prioritize projects, work against deadlines and organize workflow with multiple interruptions

• Effective and responsive verbal and written communication skills

• Prior education or experience in estimating or construction preferred

• Must be willing to continually learn and participate in industry based educational events

Job Type:

• Full-time in-house position

• Remote access available but office time is imperative

Must have reliable transportation, tools and the ability to work independently or with a group producing high quality results. Our company has excellent opportunities for individuals who carry themselves professionally, have high regards for quality craftsmanship, honesty and impeccable work ethic. A company truck will be provided to the right individual who has the proven capacity to manage a job-site, other installation crews and act as the project liaison on the behalf of the company.
