Hughey Boats, Inc. R/C Electric Boats Ed Hughey is a competitive Radio Control Model Boat racer, and three-time Overall National Champion.

He set 46 national electric boat records in a 3 year period, is listed in the International Model Power Boat Association Hall of Fame, and a member of The Indy Admirals Model Boat Club.

Ed Hughey passed peacefully into eternity with his savior Jesus on March 17, surrounded by his family. Ed loved the R/C community and dedicated his life to making all boaters successful with superior hand-crafted products. A Celebration of Life and Hope service will be held on Friday, March 23. Edward William Hughey, Jr. was born on August 16, 1931 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Edward William, Sr. and Yolande Smith Hughey. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Emerson Dee and Kenneth.
