Save your friends from getting ripped of😡😡😡
There are many scams happening in home services now. Especially garage doors. We had a customer call us directly this morning, left a VM, and did not call anyone else. An AI agent from a big box National brand called them back, got all of their information and scheduled them in a 12 to 4:00pm on Monday! So they pay Google for people's phone numbers that are looking for service, give them an unsolicited call back, and make the customer think they are getting a call from the provider they wanted. This is BAD for consumers, as these methods are extremely expensive lead services, costs that the company must get back via high-priced repairs and quotes.
Here are some tips to avoid scams and high priced companies:
1 - Never fill out a form anywhere
2- Scroll past paid results. These are often lead generators that route your call to the highest bidder, increasing costs for you. You will pay 5-10X times more than you should.
3- Make sure you confirm who calls you back. Red flags to look for include a foreign voice, background noises of a call center, and vague answers to your questions
****Here is how you protect yourself****
1- Call the company directly, from their website or dial pad on your phone
2- Confirm who is calling you back, if they cant give you an answer, HANG UP
3- Make sure the number calling you is the same number you dialed.
4- When the technician arrives, make sure they are who you called, send them packing if they dont have proof they work for Georgia Garage LLC (or who is supposed to be there)
