Today, I successfully revived a customer's reverse osmosis system. They had previously purchased an alternative system on Amazon, which, upon inspection, revealed itself to be merely a filter for taste and odor reduction, not designed to remove actual total dissolved solids (TDS). After explaining and demonstrating the difference, the choice became clear, particularly given the system's location in Maricopa, where the TDS reading was 910, perilously close to the U.S. EPA guideline threshold for unsafe consumption, being only 90 units away.
