You can still love something and realize you don’t love the way you’ve been doing it.

That was a hard one for me. I’d built a whole business around portraits, but found myself wanting to mentor and lean into the marketing and branding side of things.

Giving myself room to follow that curiosity helped me see that I have always had a drive for marketing and teaching while also being creative which is one of my greatest strengths. I just hadn't brought those other things to the forefront.

So if something feels missing, get curious about what catches your attention now. Even if it’s different from what you used to love. Even if you have no idea where it’s going...just follow the lead.

I don’t think my eyes will ever get enough of fall. The changing leaves, the colors, the light....they all stop me in my tracks. The way everything feels a little more magical. Fall really does know how to show off!🍂

If you're here...

I hope this page feels like sitting across the table from a friend.
No pretending.
No pressure to have it all together.
Just honest conversations.
For the girls who feel deeply.
Who notice everything.
Who replay conversations.
Who wonder if they're doing enough.
Who have been told they're "too much."
I have a feeling you're exactly where you're supposed to be.
So pull up a chair...

I have a feeling we're going to get along just fine.

I've realized something over the years.
The thoughts that have helped me the most didn't come from someone telling me what to do.
They came from someone putting words to something I was already feeling.

That's different.

There's something comforting about reading a thought and thinking, "I've never been able to explain that before."
Those are the kinds of thoughts I want to share here.
Not because I have life figured out.
But because sometimes a different perspective is all it takes to quiet the noise in our heads.

If one of these little notes helps gives you an ah-ha moment...or look at your situation a little differently...

then it was worth writing.

Hi, I'm Jenny...
For most of my life, I have wished I could quiet my mind.
I wanted to stop replaying conversations.
Stop wondering if I said or did the right thing.
Stop caring so much.
So instead of trying to silence those thoughts,
I decided to start writing them down.

But somewhere along the way, I realized something.
The very thing I thought I needed to fix...
was also the thing helping me understand myself and others better.
Helping me notice the little things.
Helping me put words to feelings that are hard to explain.

And my hope is that maybe they'll help someone else feel a little less alone, too.
