Not everyone has the ability to address a mold problem the moment it’s discovered.
Sometimes there’s a leak that needs repairing first. Sometimes it’s financial. And sometimes homeowners are simply doing the best they can with what they have.
During a recent visit, this homeowner explained how the mold problem has gotten worse, how she’s temporarily covered the affected area with plastic, and how she’s still experiencing stuffiness that concerns her.
I hear stories like this, and they remind me that behind every mold problem is a real person dealing with a real situation.
Of course, covering mold with plastic isn’t a permanent solution, and moisture problems need to be corrected before proper remediation can take place.
But I also understand that not everyone can make that happen overnight.
A little understanding and compassion go a long way.
