Weather delayed us by a day, but we were productive at South Side Country Club for Day 1 of bunker week. Hole 17 will have a smaller, but better placed bunker short right of the green. I look forward to this week each spring as we move through the course!

Professional Outdoor Solutions has opportunities for folks who love sports and the outdoors! Whether it is golf course maintenance, athletic field maintenance, renovation, or construction, we have a spot for you!

Our shop is based out of Thomasboro, IL and most days will originate there, however we serve customers throughout Central Illinois, and even occasionally make it up to Chicago.

If you are interested in learning about our positions, please message us to set up a time to meet! Pay for various positions range from $17 per hour to $20+ per hour depending on experience, desire to learn, and availability.

"24 Days of Christmas" - Day 22
Rotary Park of Decatur now has 3 of 5 softball fields renovated. It's great to see the Decatur Park District continue to make upgrades to their facilities. In trying to keep all the fields the same, we added 100 tons of DuraEdge Products to each field. All material was blended and laser graded into the base material, watered, compacted and finish graded. Diamond Pro red vitrified clay topdressing from Anderson's Outdoor Sports and Turf, LLC was applied to the renovated surface.

"24 Days of Christmas" - Day 21
The Fighting Illini Softball field needed some postseason touch ups. We resodded the horn with Barenbrug USA's bluegrass grown on sand from Payne Sod Farm. We needed to match the grass on the rest of the field and create a perfect transition from the skin to the outfield. We also put a fresh laser grade on the infield and replaced the sod in the centerfield player position to eliminate prior contamination from other cultivars.
