True Grit Repairs Community Update
What a week it has been.
We've faced rain delays, stress, equipment issues, long days, and the challenges that come with being short-staffed. But through it all, we kept moving forward.
This week alone, we were blessed to help four members of our community. We completed several tree jobs, helped a local family in need, and now we're preparing to give away free food to our community on June 24th.
As Father's Day is here, I want to take a moment to wish every father, grandfather, stepfather, and father figure a very Happy Father's Day. Thank you for the sacrifices you make that often go unseen.
I also want to share something personal.
Many people know me as the owner of True Grit Repairs, but not everyone knows my story.
This company wasn't built with investors, loans, or deep pockets. It was built from hard work, pain, determination, and faith. It started with my last paycheck, about $100 to my name, and a family depending on me. I took a chance and started building something that I hoped would one day allow me to give back to others.
The truth is, there was a time in my life when I wasn't the person I am today.
Drugs, alcohol, poor decisions, and a lack of direction controlled much of my life. For many years I didn't believe in God, and I certainly didn't believe I had a purpose.
But God had other plans.
I found faith. I found hope. I found a calling bigger than myself.
Today, True Grit Repairs isn't just about home repairs. It's about serving people. It's about helping neighbors. It's about proving that no matter where you've been, your story doesn't have to end there.
If you're struggling today, I want you to know that change is possible. You don't have to make a huge difference overnight. Sometimes changing one life, helping one person, or showing one act of kindness is enough to start something bigger.
As I look around today, I still feel a deep calling inside me. I know there is more work to do. I don't know exactly what that looks like yet, but I know God isn't finished with this mission.
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." — Philippians 4:13
"Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up." — Galatians 6:9
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." — Jeremiah 29:11
Looking ahead, our fireworks tent will be opening in July. We now have a location secured, and while that will temporarily slow down some of our regular operations, it's all part of a bigger plan to continue serving our community and creating opportunities to give back.
And don't forget:
