This kitchen facelift is approximately 95% complete. New stone countertops, subway tile backsplash, an undermount sink, faucet, shaker style doors, and drawer fronts have been installed. A fresh coat of paint has been applied to the cabinet boxes, walls and trim, and soft-close door hinges are now in place. Cabinet hardware installation remains, which will be finished next week following the holiday break. Thanks to Parker I was able to finish this project a few days sooner. It’s always great to have his help! We hope everyone enjoys a wonderful 4th celebration!

We have completed another comprehensive bathroom renovation!Special recognition goes to Marcelo Ricardo for his exceptional tile work. The shower curtain was replaced with a sliding glass door and the tiled countertop was replaced and installed with granite by the Charleston Marble and Granite Company. The bathroom rest of the bar also underwent a thorough update, including fresh paint on the ceiling, walls, and trim, as well as upgraded light fixtures and plumbing fixtures. Additionally, a more powerful exhaust fan was installed, and under-countertop storage was added. The wall plates were replaced with modern, sleek looking graphite screw-less covers, the outlets were upgraded to include USB-C charging capability, and new fixtures such as the toilet and refinished vanity were introduced, with the vanity painted to match some of the pink speckles in the floor tile. I love how it turned out!

This project was a first and a big challenge, but I love a good challenge! The interior designer I work with from time to time asked me to restore this jukebox for a jewelry store remodel. I poured a lot of sweat equity into it, and I learned a lot about how a jukebox works and how it’s assembled. The corners of the jukebox and other small details will be covered by wallpaper in a really pretty design. Looking forward to seeing it completed!

We recently completed a bathroom renovation for a wonderful couple in Mount Pleasant, replacing the existing shower tub combo with a sleek walk-in shower, equipped with two shower heads, and a stylish sliding glass door, while also updating the light fixtures, sink fixtures, mirror, and towel bars to cohesive brushed gold finishes. The homeowners plan to tackle the wall painting themselves soon. I’m looking forward to seeing the completed bathroom when they’re done!

288 sets of screws washers and nuts later, these very pretty planter boxes are ready for some topsoil! This repeat client asked me to build some boxes with treated lumber but the cost was going to be over their budget. I suggested these galvanized metal planter boxes from Home Depot. The client was ecstatic that you can order them in a variety of different colors. I think these look so much better than the treated lumber boxes that end up rotting away over time. Sure, the metal will eventually rust but they will still last longer and they are so much prettier!

Last year, I restored the steel window grates on the front of this home in North Charleston. It was November, nearing the end of painting season, and I wasn’t able to finish all the windows. At the end of the project last year, we randomly picked this week to finish the remaining windows. I don’t think we could’ve picked a better week! The weather was perfect, not too warm and no rain! It’s amazing what some elbow grease and paint can do to improve the look of a home!

Finally got this homeowner’s new shutter installed. We wanted to keep the historical integrity of this 1920’s home, so we custom ordered a wooden shutter from a local lumber mill. Once it was completed eight weeks later, I sprayed two coats of “Charleston Green” on it. My new part-time helper, Corie, helped me get it installed this week. I’m looking forward to having her help me this summer while she has a break before she begins nursing school!

I love a good challenge! The homeowner asked me to replace cracked window panes and reglaze one of their historic windows. I had never done this type of work before, but after researching the process I felt confident I could do it. It turned out beautifully and I learned a lot about window restoration. You’re never too old to learn new tricks!
