I am in awe of the beautiful job, not only capturing the image but also the essence of him. I just want to reach in and squish his face.

I had to put him down just a little over a year ago. He showed up at my door step and was held against his will for almost 19 years. He is a very young 16 in the painting.

Back in Asheville for a weekend retreat.

The roadtrip gods smiled on me today. I left CLT at 5:30 and there was no traffic at all. None in Pineville, none on 85 south. Longest wait was Starbucks pre trip.
