Today’s project: a gas water heater swap with some important updates! 🔥 We added an expansion tank and updated the isolation valve to bring this system up to code. Did you know all water heaters should have an expansion tank? If yours doesn’t, it could lead to excess pressure and damage. 🛠️

🧑🏻‍🔧TIP: Take a look at your water heater and make sure you have an expansion tank! It would be a small, metal, "balloon" looking attachment on, or close to, your water heater. If you’re unsure or need an upgrade, call or text me at 704-778-6117. 📞💬

Having an expansion tank is not only required in most areas, but it's also important to preserve the life of your water heater.

Without an expansion tank, pressure from the heated water can build up and lead to leaks and damage to your plumbing system.

Check your expansion tank at least once a year to make sure it's not holding water.

If your spigot/hose bibb is constantly dripping, rusted or damaged, it's time to replace it. Replacing it sooner, rather than later, will save you money on your water bill, and frustration later. 😊👍
