Mecklenburg Electric Cooperative (MEC) is a Touchstone Energy Cooperative, headquartered in Chase City, Virginia, with three district offices—Chase City, Gretna, and Emporia. We have served our members since 1938 and will continue to fulfill our mission of providing safe, reliable, affordable and environmentally responsible electric service.

OUTAGE UPDATE, Bracey, Nellie Jones Road:
Crews must replace a mainline three-phase pole broken in a vehicle accident. This outage is impacting 625 accounts along Nellie Jones Road, Marengo Road, Great Creek, Long Branch, and adjacent areas. We are working to move materials and the replacement pole to the site; accordingly, we anticipate completing repairs and restoring service will require several hours.
