24 miles. 60,000 steps. 1,600m climbed. Almost 12 hours on our feet - but we did it!

Team GTMaritime recently took on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge in support of Sailors’ Society, and we’re delighted to have raised £1,500 for the charity!

A huge thank you to everyone who sponsored us, sent messages of encouragement and helped us reach our total. And well done to the team for getting each other around all three peaks!

There were definitely some sore legs afterwards, but it was well worth it to support the fantastic work Sailors’ Society does for seafarers and their families around the world.

Today is World Maritime Day

Under this year’s theme, “From Policy to Practice: Powering Maritime Excellence,” there’s an important focus on turning ambition into meaningful change across our industry.

Technology, including AI, has huge potential to support that progress. But the goal shouldn’t be technology for technology’s sake.

It should be about giving maritime professionals better information, reducing unnecessary workload and helping people make informed decisions, while keeping human expertise firmly at the centre.

The technology will keep changing. What matters is how we put it into practice.

This weekend, Team GTMaritime is taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge!

We'll be tackling 24 miles, three peaks and plenty of climbing to raise money for Sailors’ Society, supporting seafarers and their families around the world.

It’s a cause close to our industry. Seafarers keep global trade moving, often spending months away from home and facing challenges that most of us never see.

Team GTMaritime is taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks!

Next month, six members of our team will be swapping laptops for walking boots as they take on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge in support of Sailors’ Society.

Jamie, Paul, Sam, Jemma, Laura and Natalie will tackle around 24 miles and over 5,000 feet of climbing in one day. There may be a few sore legs and blisters along the way, but it’s all for a cause that’s incredibly important to our industry.

Sailors’ Society provides vital support to seafarers and their families around the world, and we’re proud to be raising funds to help them continue their fantastic work.

Today, on the Day of the Seafarer, we recognise the people who keep the maritime industry moving.

Whether onboard a vessel, coordinating operations, navigating challenging conditions or keeping global flowing, seafarers play a vital role in our connected world.

It's easy to talk about ships, cargoes and but behind every operation are individuals working long hours, often far from home, to ensure goods reach their destination safely and efficiently.

Team GTMaritime had a fantastic time at Posidonia last week.

From insightful discussions to networking events and connecting with industry colleagues, it was an incredibly productive and rewarding few days.

We had the opportunity to meet with customers, partners, and maritime professionals from across the industry, sharing ideas, discussing challenges, and showcasing some of the exciting new solutions we're bringing to market. The positive feedback we've received has been hugely encouraging and reinforces our commitment to helping maritime organisations strengthen their IT operations, cybersecurity, and digital resilience.
