Long before there’s a finished home, someone has to be able to see it.
That’s a big part of what we do at Bloomfield.

This custom single-family home in Lincold Park started with a sketch and a vision. Years of building custom homes allow us to look beyond the lines on the page. ✨ We’re thinking about how the home will sit on the property, how the proportions will feel at full scale, how the materials will work together, and how all of those early decisions will translate once construction begins.

Our clients don’t always have to see the full picture on day one. Helping them visualize what’s possible, and then watching it become real, is part of the process.

What you see is beautiful cabinetry. What we see are all the decisions that got it here.

It starts early in the design process, usually with a conversation about how a room will actually be used. From there come drawings, measurements, material samples, hardware selections, revisions (and often another round of revisions 😅).

Over time, what began as lines on a page becomes one of the most defining elements of the room.

We’ve watched the right cabinetry completely change a kitchen, turn an empty wall into a beautiful built-in, or give an everyday space a level of function you wouldn’t know was missing until you had it.

By installation day, we’ve probably discussed every inch of it. And seeing it finally become part of the home never gets old. 🙌

There’s a point in every custom build when you stop seeing the construction and start seeing the home.

👏 We’re there at Templeton Reserve.

After months of planning, building, coordinating, and refining, the exterior of this custom home is looking pretty incredible. 🏡 The architecture, materials, rooflines, windows, and all those details we’ve watched come together are finally being seen as a whole.

For this custom Bloomfield home in Winnetka, we paired timeless white finishes with richly stained oak floors, bringing warmth and contrast into the space while keeping the overall design clean and classic.

Every finish was selected to work together ➡️ from the cabinetry and countertops to the depth and character of the wood floors.
