Horner Park Neighbors (formerly the Horner Park West Neighborhood Association) has been working to improve the community since 1988, helping residents to deal with problems they might have, or that they see developing. We serve as a liaison for the neighborhood with the alderman’s office, Chicago Police and other civic organizations. Horner Park Neighbors represents the neighborhood bounded by Mon

trose, California, Irving Park and Sacramento. Horner Park Neighbors holds monthly board meetings that are open to all. Please stay tuned to our social media and emails for updated information. Horner Park Neighbors for much of its history has been a concerns-driven organization, working to keep our community safe and clean. As neighborhood concerns are low at present, we are focusing on social gatherings in the hopes that the friendships formed during this period will keep the neighborhood strong for years to come.

It’s time for our Horner Park Neighbors Clean-Up Day! Join your neighbors as we give our parks and streets a little TLC and help keep our community looking beautiful. 💚

Whether you can stay for the whole cleanup or just lend a hand for a little while, every person makes a difference—and many hands really do make light work!

⚾️ And we’ve added a little extra incentive… Everyone who participates will be entered into a drawing to win a pair of Chicago Cubs tickets for the 2027 season! 🎟️🐻

Come meet some neighbors, do something good for the community, and maybe walk away with a trip to Wrigley Field next season!

🌳 YOUR PARKS. YOUR VOICE. YOUR VOTE! 🗳️

The Chicago Park District has officially opened voting for its Citywide Participatory Budgeting (PB) initiative, giving community members a direct say in how $500,000 in capital improvement funding will be invested in parks across Chicago.

📅 Voting is open through August 27
👥 All community members ages 13 and older are encouraged to vote

You can participate in two ways:

Cast a ballot at any Chicago Park District fieldhouse or at participating community outreach events.

🚧 Heads up, Horner Park neighbors! 🚧

The annual Ecuadorian Parade takes place Sunday, August 9, and temporary parking restrictions will be in effect along the parade route.

⚠️ No Parking: 5:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
🚗 Vehicles parked in posted No Parking zones along the parade route will be towed.

If you normally park on or near Montrose Avenue between California and Kimball, or on surrounding streets with posted restrictions, be sure to move your vehicle before Sunday morning.

Please check posted signs in your area and plan ahead to avoid a tow.

Enjoy the parade if you’re attending, and thanks for helping keep the route safe for everyone! 🎉

What an incredible day! 🎉

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out to our HPN Block Party! Whether you brought a snack to share, made a donation, played yard games, cooled off on the water slide, or simply spent time getting to know your neighbors, you helped make it a fantastic afternoon and evening.

Events like these are what build stronger neighborhoods, and we’re so grateful for this amazing community. ❤️
