We love before and after shots so I am posting a few.
This was a neglected yard area that was viewed from a balcony from the dining area of the house. It was mostly covered in concrete patio which was not used. The deep shade of an elm and a large black walnut in the yard next door made for deep shade and gloom. The challenge was pretty deep shade, walnut toxin tolerance, and choosing plants that would hold up to 2 large dogs.

We haven't had much rain lately so I watered the garden today. Every bird in the neighborhood stopped by for a drink. In dry periods like this it's important to remember our winged friends need a steady water supply too. I provided them with a little bird bath as well.
