I know I've been MIA this year... but I've still been hard at work, I promise! Running Lara's Loft was a one man's shop kind of thing... and with 4 kids and just life, I had to take a step back and find ways to simplify. And that's where Brian Bell and his shop come in. I started working at his cabinet shop earlier this year, and I absolutely love it there and the work we do. Just look at these beautiful projects we've been working on! 😍

This giant 6' wide x 8' tall custom mudroom has been in the works for a long time! It was a HUGE learning process and I had so many great mentors that let me pick their brains and shared their decades' worth of experience with me to help make this happen. It had to be carried in in individual pieces and reassembled like a puzzle to fit in the space between these 2 doors - I know that doesn't sound like a hard thing to do until you've actually attempted it. Whew... am I glad it's over!

Huge shout out to The Hartley Group, Inc for their amazing 2k coatings used in this mudroom. They have the most amazing customer service and products! I found them just in time to use their 1107 primer and 2800 finish for this project and I don't know how I went this long without the switch to 2k waterbased finishes!
