Oakley Garden Club has a new project to provide bouquets of flowers monthly to the Veterans Hospital in Cincinnati. Thanks so much to our members who donated flowers and vases for this project sponsored by Federated Garden Clubs of Cincinnati and Vicinity.

The members of Oakley Garden Club greatly enjoyed the tour of Delhi Floral Paradise Gardens today. Our tour guide walked us through the many garden areas first created in 2006. A large group of volunteers maintains all the exquisite garden areas. If you are in the Delhi area, please visit these beautiful gardens that honors Delhi Township as the "Floral Paradise of Ohio". This title refects the area's rich agricultural history, when dozens of independent greenhouses dominated the local market and supplied a major portion of the nation's carnation stock by the early 1900s.

Today's Garden Club program and meeting was held at Floral Paradise Gardens in Delhi. It was a beautiful, cooler day and the gardens were beautiful. Worth a trip to check it out!

Oakley Garden Club was well represented at this year's Flower Show that is a part of the 4H Hamilton County Community Fair held at Stricker's Grove. Several members helped with the planning, set up, judging, clerking, and entering this year. Here are some of the club members' entries that were awarded ribbons.
