Another backyard secured and looking sharp.

This project included 200 feet of 6’ cedar privacy fence, pre-stained in Classic Brown, giving the customer a beautiful fence from day one without having to wait on staining later. The rich color really stands out against the natural backdrop and will help protect the cedar for years to come.

Unfortunately, our “new-to-us” work truck decided that a month and a half of employment was enough and submitted its resignation without notice.

Why is it ALWAYS a Dodge Ram 2500 that decides to break when it’s absolutely PI***NG rain outside?! 🤦‍♂️🌧️😂

This customer, owner of First Responder Fencing LLC hit me up:

💬 “Teacher…” (yes, I used to train this guy in fi****ms)

💬 “Eli, my truck is making noises and it’s getting worse. I have fence jobs Monday and need emergency work this weekend… pleeeeease 🥺🙏😂”

So Daddy Eli said:

💬 “Alright babygirl, I got you… but what’s wrong with it?”

Customer:
💬 “A shop said it needs ball joints.”

Our quote...? 💸 Almost $1,200 ($500-$1500 cheaper than anywhere else)

So we drag ourselves out into the rain, jack it up, start inspecting everything and…

🥁 DRUMROLL PLEASE 🥁

❌ WRONG DIAGNOSIS-Mostly. One ball joint was bad and needed replaced.

3 of the 4 ball joints were perfectly fine.

What actually had play?

⚠️ Driver-side wheel bearing/hub assembly and a little side to side in the upper ball joint.

That diagnosis alone saved this customer almost $500 from Off Duty Auto and even more elsewhere in unnecessary repairs.

Could we have just thrown ball joints at it and made more money? Sure. Did we? Nope. Because our reputation, honesty, and integrity are worth a whole lot more than a quick paycheck. 💯

We spent the last week playing tag with Oklahoma weather, dodging storms and working around rain delays, but we got it knocked out and the finished product speaks for itself.

Both posts in the original gate section were completely broken off at the bottom causing the fence and gate area to lean and separate. We came out, removed the failed posts, installed new posts, and got everything back solid, straight, and secure again.
