Two chairs came to me in very poor condition. They were riddled with powder post beetle holes and all glue joints had failed ( having spent decades in a barn). As all the components were glue -ups of many pieces it was hard to tell exactly what they looked like. Fortunately the customer was able to send me a photo of one whole. I turned new front legs as well as the tops and back panels. I chose a dark walnut dye stain to minimize the difference in new to old wood. They are far from perfect but I'm pretty happy with the outcome. I do like the occasional challenge 🙂
