🚨FREEZING WEATHER🚨
Everybody be sure to remove your garden hoses from your outside spigots before the cold front comes in tonight!! Also, before going to bed, ensure you have both the hot and cold sides of one or multiple faucets dripping steadily!

🚨REMINDER🚨
With below freezing weather coming in this winter, make sure water hoses are disconnected from the outside spigots or they will burst and could cause a flood in your basement or crawl space!

It was time for another Habitat for Humanity collaboration! Always a rewarding experience to donate some labor for a good cause. We completed the plumbing phase of the project throughout this weekend and today.
Thank you to all of our customers for giving us the ability to give back as it is very important to us. We are so grateful and blessed to have your loyalty and support! Merry Christmas 🎄

Leaking water heater? It might not be busted!
Water heaters have a temperature and pressure gauge protecting the unit and your waterlines from rupturing. When the pressure in your house constantly runs higher than desired, it can induce long term stress leading to the T&P valve to release water/excess pressure creating the illusion of a busted water heater! In this case this home didn’t even have a PRV installed at the time of building to protect it agaisnt pressure surges, so we took care of that, as well as replacing the stressed out T&P valve. The result, better than inspected outcome with a little extra work and full transparency, and another happy customer!

The water pressure on this customers house was extremely high so we had to replace their pressure reducing valve with 2 of them to get it down to a safe operating level. I get asked about these all the time “are they important enough to worry about” the answer is YES!

Pressure reducing valves (PRVs) are probably the most important fixture in your house because they keep your plumbing safe and efficient. The PRV is the first thing your waterline goes through when it gets into your house. Basically, they lower the water pressure coming from the street to a level that's safe for your home's pipes and appliances. (50psi)

High water pressure can cause all sorts of problems, like bursting fittings, dripping faucets, damaged appliances, or even funny noises like squealing or banging. PRVs prevent these issues by ensuring the water pressure stays at a manageable level. (50psi) This not only saves you money on repairs but also extends the lifespan of your waterlines and plumbing fixtures.

We recommend that homeowners check their water pressure at least twice a year. Once in the spring before summer, and once in the fall before winter is a good ratio in between heavy usage seasons. We know yall love that high shower pressure, but you gotta ask yourself if it’s worth potential problems down the road! 😁💧
