My passion for nature and beautiful landscapes started very early. As a child, I loved exploring the outdoors, and I often helped my widowed neighbors to take care of their yards. I enjoyed working with the plants in hands-on harmony with nature, watching the colors I blended together bloom into existence, and seeing the joy that the beauty of their yards brought to these ladies’ lives. I also saw

what could happen when landscapes didn’t receive good care. I’ve seen many communities fall because one neglected property brought down the value of the neighborhood, then another property was neglected, and it became a domino effect. When yards were not properly maintained, it had a negative ripple effect on everyone nearby. Because of these experiences, I became devoted to learning everything I could about creating and maintaining beautiful landscapes and plants. And in 1990, I founded Grosh’s Lawn Service, so that more people could have beautiful properties they were truly proud of. Now, my clients trust me to mow well over 100 acres of turf grass on a weekly basis, and the nursery even gives me plants that they’ve given up on and discarded, because they know that I can help those plants to not just survive, but thrive. That’s what I’m all about. I help plants, people and communities to thrive. I want to create a world where communities are made healthy and joyful by the beautiful plant life around them, where happy and active children enjoy nature, and where people feel safe and enjoy their yards because there are no blighted properties in their neighborhoods.
