So after 1 1/2 days….. total of about 2 acres of kudzu cleared, a dozen trees or so, all the roads/trails mulched back down, and dirt work on a few washed out spots. All roads are passable across all 30 acres. Tomorrow, the remaining half acre of kudzu and brush is getting ripped out, about an acre left of brush to mulch, then will start thinning between the hardwoods. Casualty count is still low with only one hornets nest being obliterated with the mulcher. They weren’t and still aren’t happy. Surprisingly, I’ve only seen a copperhead and a rat snake, which both went on their way. Fully expected to encounter way more considering how many I come across in Florida doing this.

Today was a day….. one of our trucks got stuck coming in, then the first dump truck got stuck, then one of our dedicated dump trucks broke down, then we had an earthquake,then the CAT went down temporarily, then the plate compactor went down…. Despite all that, we got everything running and knocked out this stem wall for Habitat for Humanity Tampa Bay Gulfside! Compaction test in the morning then onto the next!
