Man Sunday was a wild day. I'll try to keep this short.
I finished up Sunday evening at our place in Brownwood Texas, and just as I wheeled the machine around to head to the house and load up, one of the tracks come off. I was so pi**ed, I just looked at it cussing and spitten and decided to just leave it set till I come back in a couple weeks.
I hooked up my empty trailer and started my 125 mile trip home. We'll just outside of Glen Rose, a hilly and curving stretch of road, I took a right hand curve and the truck and trailer seem to almost jack knive into the other lane. I had to really steer hard to keep it out of on coming traffic. I thought maybe I took the curve a little fast. Next a left hand curve and everything thing felt normal. Then the next right hand curve I literally could not keep it out of the other lanes with cars coming right at me. Somehow I got through the curve and decided to pull over because obviously something was wrong. At that moment my back drivers side wheel passed me and my truck hit the ground. Freaked me smooth out. The whole center of my wheel and all my studs were gone.
All I could think about is what would have happened if I had been able to load my skid, mulcher, and grapple all on the trailer. Im not sure i would be here today.
Long story short, I believe the good Lord intervened. I didn't realize it at first, just pi**ed that my track came off. But I truly believe it happened for a reason.
Just thought I would share, and tell everyone to be careful out there.
