Hiring a sub is easy. Hiring one you don't have to babysit is the hard part.
After 14 years of insulation work in Spokane, here are 10 things we do on every job — and if your contractor doesn't do them, that nervous feeling you have is earned:
1️⃣ Line-item bids from your actual plans — not a number guessed over the phone. The bid you sign is the bill you pay.
2️⃣ A confirmed date when you book — and we hit it, because we know your drywaller, painter, and construction loan are all stacked behind us.
3️⃣ A text when we're rolling — "on our way" means on our way, not sometime today.
4️⃣ Code done right the first time — R-values quoted to your compliance path (WSEC or IRC), so you pass your insulation inspection without a re-inspection fee.
5️⃣ We tell you when to schedule us — after your electrical, plumbing & HVAC rough-in inspections, before drywall. First build? We'll walk you through the sequence.
6️⃣ Plain language, zero jargon — you shouldn't need to become an insulation expert to avoid getting taken advantage of.
7️⃣ Photos before the drywall hides our work — every filled bay, every baffle, depth markers proving coverage. You can verify what you'll never see again.
8️⃣ We coordinate with your other trades directly — so you're not refereeing between the insulator and the electrician.
9️⃣ Paperwork handed to you ready to file — certificate of insulation for the building department, rebate forms for the utility (Avista pays up to $1.75/sq ft).
🔟 We come back if something's not right — no fight, no fine print. The job's done when you're happy.
