Post- traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) was the number one disability I had to deal with on a daily basis. Most Disabled Veterans today are at home every day with depression or suicidal thoughts. I was one of them disabled service members that sat home depressed with suicidal thoughts. I was medically retired out of the Army at 12 years of service. Meaning It happened during my military career I gained a lot of weight due to having to take Prednisone a steroid for my lung disease. My weight reached as high 300 pounds the most I have weighed in my life. I reached a point where I hated the way I looked and felt. One day I woke up and wanted a change in my life. I got gym membership and a dog. He was a lab named Nacho he was my savior along with my close family and God. I dropped the weight and got help for my (PTSD). In that time, my creative desire back.
