Many of us got a decent amount of rain last week. Do you have a sprinkler system that you manually have to turn on and off every time we have an adequate amount of rain?

So why is it so important to blowout your sprinkler system?? Well, the number 1 reason is to avoid costly repairs in the spring. Busted pipes and broken manifolds can cost a lot to repair. Getting your sprinklers blown out this time of year helps avoid breakage due to freezing weather and it's one less thing to worry about! We still have some spaces available to schedule a blowout. Overnight lows will start to drop below freezing Wednesday night. If you have not winterized your sprinkler system yet, you will want to protect the exposed areas of your system to avoid breaking something. Making sure the area is insulated (you can even wrap a blanket around it) and not full of water will help it with the colder temperatures. We still have time before the actual ground freezes, but it's important to protect exposed areas!
