Every crack gets marked before we touch it.

Before any repair starts, we go through and mark every crack, stain, and stress point exactly like this — blue tape, an X where something needs a closer look, a line tracing where a crack runs. Looks unofficial. Isn't.

That marked-up ceiling becomes part of the record. If an adjuster comes through later, or there's ever a question about what was actually there before repairs started, there's a photo showing exactly what existed and where. No guessing after the fact about whether a hairline crack was already there or showed up during the work.
