Some days you feel like you're on top of the mountain and other days you feel stuck! Zach felt both in the same hour LOL.

Zach liked the pulpwood pile but also found a wet spot on a skid trail. Good times together!

Here's something I don't see very often anymore. Beech nuts!! Only a few trees on this property have them. If you look close in the background of the photo, you will see a tree stand! Good spot to be sitting come the fall!

As beech fade away with beech leaf disease, I wonder how many more beech nuts I will see in my career??

Are you seeing beech nuts where you hunt? If not, when was the last time you saw any?

Didn't know I was so close to "jail" this morning! During a site visit on a client's property today they show me this really cool 1940s truck! This design from Ford had the "jailbar grille". Wonder what the stories this truck would tell??!! This truck was in the middle of the woods so I have a feeling the local landscape looked very different half a century ago.
